Biography

Quan, Rich Homie Quan arrested for marijuana or the Governor of Guam? Quan, an unquestionable quantum of the universe, a wit of unearthing quests and unreserved uniqueness. And Nguyen: the tongue raising and pulling away from a diphthongizing palate; the mouth follows by widening and jousting for a prolonged "win," but quicker before you quiver. Quan. Nguyen. Wil as the first English name he adopted. And a career of emceeing shows would create a Quan Mcwil on the air.
A journalist at WUFT and WJXT, Quan has covered local soft and hard news--still seeing through its heart of flesh however it's stoned-- on radio, TV and web platforms. Oftentimes striving for truth, revelation, and confession, Quan puts his cards on the table, as he connects and interjects the interviews with his life experiences and knowledge. Apparently, "all hands on deck," and we're ready to take the audience on a journey. But I believe the success will never loom unless the reporters "remove his hand (over the deck)" and willingly insert his unique color into his works. That openness comes with an indomitable will to defy odds throughout investigations and prod authorities into viable, well-assured solutions-- as the broadcast ship of storytelling is finally moored.

Compassionate and determined, Quan is offshore once again-- this time and as he knows better, he does better (Maya Angelou)--he will steer by the stars, not the light of every passing ship. All joking aside, this tip's extremely helpful during my hurricane coverage. Someday, he'll make it to the Promised Land, from his laughter-and-sympathy-fuelled engine-- he'll put his footprints in the hall of fame...right next to Sean Hannity's mouth??
